Sino Logistics Corporation Hosts Social Responsibility Event at Lighthouse for the Blind
As part of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts, Sino Logistics Corporation (Sino Logistics) hosted a social responsibility event at the Lighthouse for the Blind in Pak Kret on March 23.
The event was attended by Sino Logistics’ management team, employees, and visually impaired individuals from the Lighthouse for the Blind. The highlight of the event was the ‘Blind Experience Conversation’ performance, during which participants were blindfolded and engaged in conversations with a person seated in front while enjoying a theater performance. Sino Logistics also provided a banquet lunch for all attendees and donated daily necessities such as cooking ingredients, beverages, and cleaning products to support the organization’s work.
“We chose the Lighthouse for the Blind as the venue for today’s activities because it is a leading agency in developing the potential of visually impaired people in the country. The organization promotes a range of professional skills, including carpentry, Thai massage, handicrafts, bakery, and agriculture, to give visually impaired individuals the confidence to live independently in society. We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to support the foundation’s operations today,” said Ms. Arachaporn Witthayasakpant, Chief Operating Officer, Sino Logistics Corporation.
“At Sino Logistics, we recognize the importance of conducting business ethically and responsibly in order to achieve sustainable long-term growth together with the surrounding society. Today’s activities have provided us with an opportunity to understand the daily challenges faced by visually impaired individuals. We therefore want to support and create opportunities for the visually impaired, promoting their well-being through career development,” said Mr. Kritpong Boonsukchote, Senior Vice President Business Development, Sino Logistics Corporation.
“This event marks a good starting point for our company to foster a corporate culture of compassion and understanding while also providing an opportunity to support the career development of visually impaired individuals. It has also helped us to better understand the types of support and assistance required by the Lighthouse for the Blind to facilitate their mission. This will not be the last event of its kind that we organize, as we are committed to continuing our social engagement activities on a regular basis in the future,” said Mr. Kavin Kritcharoen, Chief Financial Officer, Sino Logistics Corporation.
“The Lighthouse for the Blind appreciates Sino Logistics’ partnership in organizing this event. I believe that all participants in this event, including the visually impaired individuals, have gained valuable experiences through today’s activities. The donated items from Sino Logistics will be put to their maximum benefit in creating career opportunities for the visually impaired, enabling them to be self-reliant and have self-esteem to live in society,” said Mr. Supakit Panyangam, Director of the Lighthouse for the Blind, Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen.
